Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. Introduction

Thank you for using Jewellery Design Center. This Privacy Policy was written to help you understand what information we collect when you use our platform, how we use it, and what choices are available to you. Jewellery Design Center ("JDC", "we", "our", "us") is operated by Universal Jewels and Diamonds, Surat, Gujarat, India.

By accessing or using JDC, you expressly consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Policy. Simply by registering on our website, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this Privacy Policy in full.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you create an account, we collect your name, business email address, mobile number, and country. You may optionally add your company name and other profile details. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed securely by Razorpay — we receive a transaction confirmation but never store card numbers or payment credentials. If you contact our support team, we also retain that correspondence.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use JDC, we automatically collect certain information to keep the platform running securely and to personalise your experience. This includes your IP address, browser type, device type, and the page you came from. We also record your activity on the platform — such as designs you view, like, download, or organise into catalogs, and the search terms you use — to power features like personalised design recommendations. A secure cookie is placed on your device when you log in to maintain your session.

Catalog Visitor Analytics

When you share a catalog with a customer via a unique link, we record basic visit information — such as the visitor's approximate location (country and city) and the time of visit — so you can see how your catalog is being viewed. This data is available to you as catalog analytics and is used solely for that purpose. It is not used for advertising and is not shared with third parties outside of JDC.

OTP Verification

When you register or reset your password, we send a one-time verification code to confirm your identity. Users based in India receive this via WhatsApp; all other regions receive it by email. Your phone number and email address are used solely for this verification purpose.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to create and manage your account and subscription, to personalise your browsing experience and design recommendations, and to process payments and send subscription-related communications such as receipts and renewal reminders. We use catalog visit data to provide you with audience insights for your shared catalogs. We also use information to detect and prevent fraud or unauthorised access, to improve the platform based on usage trends, and to send transactional notifications where you have opted in. We retain and use data as necessary to comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Cookies & Analytics

Analytics tools run on public-facing pages only. The admin panel is excluded from all analytics tracking.

We use Google Analytics to measure page visits and feature usage, Meta Pixel to understand the performance of advertising campaigns on Meta platforms, and Microsoft Clarity to gain anonymised insights into how users navigate the site — all to help us improve the platform. We also use strictly necessary httpOnly cookies to keep you signed in; these cookies are not used for advertising purposes.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings or a privacy extension. Please note that login cookies are required to access your account.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us operate the platform — Razorpay for payment processing, AWS for email delivery, and WhatsApp Business for OTP verification — all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations. Google, Meta, and Microsoft receive anonymised or aggregated usage signals as described in Section 4. We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. In the event of a merger or acquisition, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction and billing records are retained as required by Indian financial regulations, typically seven years. Usage and behavioural analytics are kept for up to 24 months, catalog visit records for up to 12 months, and OTP records are automatically deleted within 30 days of creation. You may request deletion of your account and its associated data at any time by contacting us — subject to the legal retention requirements noted above.

7. Data Security

We protect your data using encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure httpOnly login cookies, hashed passwords, and strict database access controls that limit which staff members can access personal data. While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we continuously review and strengthen our safeguards. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep it confidential.

8. International Transfers

JDC is operated from India. Some of our service providers may process data outside India, including in the United States. By using JDC, you authorise such transfers. We ensure that any provider handling your data maintains appropriate data protection standards.

9. Children's Privacy

JDC is a B2B platform intended for business users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided information through our platform without parental consent, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to remove it.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to access a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it at any time from your profile settings, and to request deletion of your account and data subject to legal retention requirements. You may opt out of non-transactional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected].

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material changes will be communicated via email or an in-platform notice. The current version is always available at this URL, and continued use of JDC after a change is posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
